He's done at least 6 films: according to Indian FilmTrade.com
Bhakta Prahlad [1965] Golden Eyes [1968] Howrah Express [1961] Jungle Ki Hoor [1967] Patal Nagri [1963] Thief Of Baghdad [1968] - According to IMDB there definitely is a soundtrack album for this film.
Someone with username Sangeet claims to have posted the Golden Eyes songs @ http://www.hamaraforums.com/lofiversion/index.php/t41805-1300.html, although I suspect his source is the VHS tape. I'm having trouble registering so I haven't been able to download the songs.
The actual Golden Eyes album may be very hard to find. But if anyone can find it, hopefully you can, PC. :)
Yeah, I've seen all of the above. Scoring films is one thing though, having the score released on record is another. IMDB's listing of Thief of Baghdad's soundtrack only means they have data regarding the songs performed in the film, not necessarily that these ended up on a record. I have on several occasions seen IMDB list songs/soundtracks where I know for a fact no album (or any audio format) was ever released.
The fact that there is no mention of Baldev Nath/Baldevnath soundtracks anywhere(?) on the interwebs, that there is nothing available on CD or from download sites (I love that iTunes suggested "Did you mean balderdash?"), that the Gramophone Company of India discography has it listed as "unknown", and that he seems to be a very obscure music director, all leads me to believe that other than VHS or Youtube rips, nothing actually exists.
Mister Naidu & other prolific bloggers out here, I am just amazed to see such high interest in Bollywood. You Guys are really amazing. Mister Naidu came here with reference from PC's blog. Its an awesome place. I have discovered many gems in a single day. Fantastic. I am just dying to see the Restored Helen. Help me. I believe where there is a will, there is a way. I urge upon everyone here to get me an invitation to that place - BWT. I need these stuff. I hope some nice guy will surely come forward. I don't have a credit card to donate them & I think they don't accept cash. If somebody can invite or register on my behalf by donating, I will be over the clouds. I can reimburse that person in cash. Thanks & once again great place.
Mister Naidu Thanks for the nice gesture. But it seems to be as if I have to wait a little longer to get it from BWT. Just gone through their FAQ & there seems to be some ratio restriction in force, 4 GB upload & so on...Will download it eventually. As far as I have understood, the DVD isos upped there are not freeleech but other music videos are. Thanks & hoping to see some more nice projects from you.
After a very long time you posted something. I missed all your posts very much. But you have posted a very lovely thing as always. Just loved all those fembot girls (of course esp. Madhumati). But all of them are just superb. Thanks for the very lovely video. Any new post on Helen?
